If you're traveling to a single destination, a country-specific data plan is often the most suitable choice. It's a cost-effective option for travelers who only need data in one country.

If you're visiting multiple countries, a regional data plan is the more convenient option. With one eSIM, you can stay connected across multiple destinations without purchasing separate plans or switching eSIMs along the way.

 

2. How Long Is Your Trip?

Make sure your plan remains valid for your entire trip to avoid losing connectivity before you return.

Fixed Data Plans are available with different validity periods. When choosing a fixed data plan, select one that covers the full length of your trip. For example, if you're traveling for 10 days, choose a plan with at least 10 days of validity.

Day Passes allow you to choose the number of days you need. Simply select a plan that matches the duration of your trip, so you'll have high-speed data available each day throughout your journey.

  

3. How Do You Use Mobile Data?

Consider both how much data you use each day and whether your usage is consistent throughout your trip.

How much data do you need?

  • Light User (around 500MB–1GB/day)

If you mainly use maps, messaging apps, emails, and occasional social media browsing, a smaller data plan is usually enough for your trip.

  • Moderate User (around 1–1.5GB/day)

If you regularly use social media, upload photos, browse the web, and use navigation throughout the day, a medium or larger data plan can provide a good balance between usage and value.

  • Heavy User (1.5GB+/day)

If you frequently use social media, stream videos, use hotspots, or work remotely, consider a higher-data plan for greater flexibility.

Example: For a 7-day trip with heavy usage, consider a 10GB or 20GB fixed data plan, or a day passes with around 2GB/day, depending on your travel needs.

How consistently do you use data?

  • Consistent Usage

If you use mobile data consistently throughout your trip, both fixed data plans and day passes can be suitable options. Choose based on your preference: fixed plans provide a total data allowance for your entire trip, while day passes provide a set amount of high-speed data each day.

  • Occasional Usage

If your data usage varies from day to day, a fixed data plan may be a better fit. Since day passes are based on daily allowances, travelers with uneven usage may prefer a fixed plan for greater flexibility.

 

4. Fixed Data Plan or Day Pass

Both Fixed Data Plans and Day Passes offer the same core features, including hotspot sharing and access to the same supported mobile networks. The main difference is how your high-speed data is allocated and managed. Consider your usage habits and choose the option that best fits your travel style.

5. Do I need an unlimited high-speed data plan?

We currently do not offer unlimited high-speed data plans. Instead, we offer a wide range of Fixed Data Plans, including many 50GB options with generous high-speed data allowances, providing a transparent and predictable data experience.

For most travelers, 50GB is more than enough for a typical 7–20 day trip, even with navigation, social media, video calls, and occasional video streaming.
